Chemical engineering junior wins regional chess competition

Johnny “Trey” Hicks, a chemical engineering junior, won first place in a regional chess competition held on the Mississippi State campus Saturday, March 11. Hicks competed in the Adult Quads Championship hosted by the Mississippi Scholastic Chess Association. Competitors included students from the University of Mississippi and the University of Alabama, as well as an MSU professor.
