Business Plan Team Recognized

A team of students has won 3rd place in the energy business plan competition. The team consisted of CHE graduate student Adebola Coker and Hien Nguyen, CHE exchange student Luis Gutierrez, and biological sciences graduate student Sara Shields-Menard. Their plan focused on commercialization of a licensed technology for biofuels production. Great job!

Rebecca Toghiani and Bill Elmore Recognized

IMAGE (Increasing Minority Access to Graduate Education), NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers), and the Office of Diversity in BCoE has announced the 2012 Faculty and Staff Appreciation honorees.  The recipients were be honored at a reception on April 23rd. Walters earns national award for chemical engineering education

Starkville, Miss. – A member of Mississippi State University’s chemical engineering faculty will be honored this summer by a national engineering education organization. Keisha B. Walters, an associate professor, will receive the Raymond W. Fahien Award from the American Society for Engineering Education’s (ASEE) Chemical Engineering Division at its June conference in San Antonio, Texas….

Two CHE Students Inducted into Hall of Fame

Two senior chemical engineering students, Mary Ann Murdock, and Phillip Jamison, were inducted into the Bagley College of Engineering Student Hall of Fame at a ceremony on April 12th. Mary Ann and Phillip joined 4 other engineering students who were inducted into this year’s prestigious class. Congratulations!
